As Vice President, Marketing, Maryling Yu is responsible for all aspects of marketing for Backstop, including building the Backstop brand, creating demand, enabling the field, and demonstrating results.
Maryling brings over 15 years of marketing experience to Backstop. Prior to this position, she helmed marketing for LotLinx, a digital automotive advertising startup, and for Adeptia, an integration-as-a-service company. She held multiple positions for Sungard Availability Services, including Senior Director, Demand Generation and Digital Marketing, and Director of Product Marketing.
Maryling also has a background in solutions marketing consulting, having worked with NetApp, Brocade, and many other Silicon Valley technology firms.
Maryling earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as a Master’s degree in International Development Policy from Stanford University. She also holds an B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University.
